fireman. Upon a chance that he drove his girlfriend to
Seattle Washington for the model scouting event hosted by
ProScout, Robert was discovered by one of the scouts there.
In the beginning, male modeling was almost an unthinkalbe
concept to Robert, and the offer was rejected right away.
The following up effort of ProScout and the persuasion from
his family and girlfriend eventually convinced him
otherwise.
From the first signing with Select Models, Robert rose
quickly to stardom. From Calvin Klein posters to top
designers, to the men's collection fashion shows, he is a
hot one . Robert Perovich has marched the collections for
Dolce & Gabbana, Sonia Rykiel, Versace, Valentino, D

in editorials, such as GQ, PHM, Out and many others. In

of the biggest names, including Calvin Klein, Gucci and

Robert's greater success arrived in 2001, when he became the
face of fragrance Hugo by Hugo Boss. On the following,
Robert represented the sister product of Hugo, Hugo Dark
Blue. The provocative content and sexuality expressed in the
international campaigns of Hugo draw more attention from
designers and the public to his identity, and caused a
dramatic increase in his market value.
All of a sudden, the demand for Robert Perovich has become
so overwhelmingly high, that reportedly there has been a
bidding war between Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana for his
appearance for the Spring 2002 men's wear shows in Milan.
D&G eventually paid a whopping $25,000 for the exclusive
rights to bag his booty for the catwalk. Commanding the
highest day rate by any male model in Milan has made Robert
Perovich a legend and an undisputed king of runway. There is
no stopping of Robert Perovich from becoming one of the
highest paid male model in the world.
The frenzy for Robert Perovich in Europe is still going
strong with no signs of slowing down. The reality of male
models praying for their bookers in order to have jobs
simply doesn't apply to Robert. Robert hasn't been happy
with his New York agencies over the years. After he left
Select Models, Robert signed up with Karin Models in New
York. However, the relationship between Robert and his
booker Will Hill at Karin Models eventually became an
estranged one, and there are different stories from both
parties, which resulted in Robert Perovich's departure for
Wilhelmina models. The chapter of Robert's modeling career
at Wilhelmina models was also short-lived, and his latest
stop is at Major models. |
