Biography |
Rafaele Rivera is an
American model, actor and singer of Puerto Rican ancestry.
Rivera moved between the United States and Puerto Rice
several times throughout his early childhood, and began to
prepare himself for a career in the entertainment industry
at the age of seven by enrolling in the Dance Academy of
Puerto Rico, concentrating in tap, modern dance and ballet.
He would remain dedicated to his dance education for the
next seven years, until he moved back to the United States
for permanent residency.
Rivera took four years of formal voice training throughout
his high school. He also sang leads in high school choral
group; his talent was recognized in the 11th grade when he
won the all state awards for best male vocal in Connecticut.
He also participated in several musical productions
presented by his high school and his local theaters,
securing lead roles in "Pippin", "Guys and Dolls". It was
also in the 11th grade that Rafaele developed an interest in
modeling; his first job was modeling formal wear for DKNY,
CALVIN KLEIN, AND PERRY ELLIS.
Upon his completion of high school, Rivera knew the was only
one thing he could possibly do: move to New York City. Upon
his arrival, he landed a job with Mark Nelson Enterprises,
one of the night life leading party organizers. Through his
position as event coordinator, Rafaele was able to network
with many people involve in the entertainment industry, as
well as develop his charismatic personality. Through his
networking, he became involved with the International Model
and Talent Association in Los Angeles, competing in acting,
modeling and singing. Upon his arrival back in New York City
he landed several modeling, acting, and singing contracts.
This first bit of exposure for Rivera led to many new
opportunities. He also landed a few runway shows like,
Guess, Nico & Adrian NY, Y-3, and Pelle Pelle. |
