Biography |
Matthew Fox is an American actor. He is most well-known for
playing the television characters Charlie Salinger on Party
of Five and Jack Shephard on Lost.
The son of Loretta and Francis Fox, Matthew Fox was born as
the middle of three brothers on his family's horse ranch in
Crowheart, Wyoming. He was educated at Deerfield Academy in
Massachusetts and Columbia University and also attended the
School for Film and Television in New York City. After
graduating in 1988, he began acting with the Atlantic
Theater Company. Fox married Margherita Ronchi in 1992. They
have two children, Kyle (pronounced "Kyleigh") and Byron.
Fox is also a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as the
Toronto Blue Jays. |

He was raised in Crowheart, Wyoming on the family ranch.
He has been horseback riding since he was six yers old.
Attended Wind River high school and did post-graduate high
school study at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts.
Is good friends with Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong.
Is a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
He is the tallest principal cast member of "Lost" at just
over 6' 2". 'Josh Holloway' (I) , Terry O'Quinn and Adewale
Akinnuoye-Agbaje are just slightly shorter.
Is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity
In an interview, he stated that music is a major part of his
life, citing The Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, I Am Kloot, Modest
Mouse and Texan band The Black Angels as some of his
favourite bands. He's also a fan of punk.
Graduated from New York's prestigious Atlantic Theater
Company where fellow Lost (2004) co-star Kimberley Joseph,
who played flirtatious flight attendant Cindy, was also a
