Biography |
Justin Chambers is an American actor and former model
currently starring in the ABC drama series Grey's Anatomy as
Dr. Alex Karev.
He was born July 11, 1970 in Springfield, Ohio to a family
of Irish and German extraction. He has five children with
his wife, Keisha, a former model agency booker: Isabella (b.
1997), twins Maya and Kaila (b. 1999), Eva (b. 2001) and
Jackson. He has a twin brother named Jason, one older
brother and two older sisters. The family is currently
trying to move to LA with Justin from their current home in
New York.
Chambers was discovered by a modeling scout on the Paris
subway and went on to represent Calvin Klein in a fragrance
campaign. He worked throughout Europe, Japan and the United
States for CK and Armani. After setting his sights on an
acting career, he moved to New York, where he studied at
H.B. Studios for 4 years. That schooling landed him a few
television roles, such as Another World and New York
Undercover. He has starred in several movies, including The
Wedding Planner (2001, alongside Jennifer Lopez), Southern
Belles (2005) and The Zodiac (2005). |
