Joel West (born April 6, 1975) is an American actor.
West was born in Indianola, Iowa to Rob West and Jan Gipple.
He graduated from Indianola High school and went to Buena
Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Prior to acting, he was a model for companies like Calvin
Klein and Versace.
West began his acting career with the movie The Smokers,
with Oliver Hudson and Dominique Swain. He had an appearance
on the TV shows Felicity, Charmed, American Dreams, and The
Division. He had a more substantial recurring role on the
show CSI: Miami as Officer Jessop. You may also recognize
him from Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition as a carpenter.
He is married to the successful ads actress, Anna Bocci and
has 1 child. Also in his spare time, he has done
Shakespearean theatre. |

Was a model before he became an actor.
He was discovered by a photographer at a "Dairy Queen" and
he has worked for Calvin Klein, Versace, and Hugo Boss, and
has become one of the elite models in male model industry.
His favorite musical artists include James Taylor, Milla
Jovovich, Marvin Gaye, and the Indigo Girls.
Model for Boss Models. The same agency that represented
Marcus Schenkenberg, who is considered to be the first male
supermodel. Joel was often dubbed "Baby Marcus".
Attended Indianola High School.
Attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa.
His mother, Jan Gipple, is a veterinary technician. She and
his father, Rob West, divorced in 1989.
