Biography |
Daniel MacPherson (born 25 April 1980, in Sydney, Australia)
is an Australian actor and television presenter. He was
educated at Sydney Boys High School, and prior to becoming
an actor had been a triathlete. However, when his agent
discovered him, he soon landed the role of Joel Samuels in
the popular soap opera Neighbours, starting in 1998.
Bearing a similarity to his real life, the blond-haired
actor's character was also a budding athlete, until a knee
injury. After leaving the soap in 2002, Daniel travelled to
the UK to be in a British production of the musical
Godspell. After that he took on the role of PC Cameron Tait
in the British drama The Bill, which he played from 2003
until 2004.
More recently he went back to Australia to present the
Australian version of the singing contest, The X Factor. He
also hosted a three part series called Killer Sharks on
Australia's Network Ten in February 2006.
He is currently appearing in a British/Australian production
entitled 'Tripping Over', appearing on Five (in the UK) and
Network Ten (in Australia), also featuring ex-Neighbours
star Brooke Satchwell, who played Anne Wilkinson.
Daniel has posed nude in two major magazines. One was for
gay men's magazine Attitude and the Australian women's
magazine Cleo.
His favourite English Football club is Liverpool FC |
