Biography |
Chris Evans, is an American actor, born in
Sudbury, Massachusetts of Irish and Italian descent. He
starred as the Human Torch The Fantastic Four, released on
July 8, 2005.The film was a major hit, and garnered Evans
critical acclaim.
Evans' parents were a dentist and a dancer. He decided he
wanted to be an actor during his junior year of high school.
He interned at a casting office in New York during the
following summer whilst also taking acting lessons. During
that summer he met an agent who helped him start his acting
career by getting him a role in the TV series Opposite Sex.
However it was his starring role in the 2001 comedy film Not
Another Teen Movie that brought him major attention. The
film contained a somewhat notorious spoof of the Varsity
Blues movies where (to attract the attention of a girl),
Evans entered the room wearing nothing more than whipped
cream around his nipples and crotch, with a banana sticking
out of his backside. After this film Evans went on to
co-star in both The Perfect Score, Cellular, and The Orphan
King. Evans quickly garnered a loyal fan base due to his
good looks and affable personality.
His next project is a minor role in London and a leading
role in Untitled Sunshine Project, scheduled to be released
in 2005 and 2006 respectively. |
